James Harden called Kevin McHale a ‘clown’ in response to comments about his leadership

Houston Rockets superstar James Harden says he “doesn’t usually go back-and-forth” with people who talk about him, but made an exception in the case of his former coach – and Celtics legend – Kevin McHale.

After McHale commented on NBA TV’s Open Court series that Harden “is not a leader,” the Rockets guard fired back in a video:

“He’s a clown, honestly,” Harden began. The lengthy response included Harden vouching for himself, as well as saying that McHale, “never taught me anything to be a leader.”

McHale was fired from the Rockets in November, 2015 after four consecutive losing seasons.
