Before being a top pick in the 2008 NFL draft and leading the Atlanta Falcons to Super Bowl LI as the Patriots’ opponent, Matt Ryan was a Boston College phenomenon. The quarterback who garnered the nickname “Matty Ice” during his time in Chestnut Hill was known for his calm demeanor and cannon arm.

Even though New Englanders will obviously be rooting for Tom Brady in the Super Bowl, the matchup is as good an excuse as any to look back on some of the remarkable plays that Ryan made in his time at Boston College:
