Xaverian football coach Charlie Stevenson retires after 24 seasons
“After 24 illustrious seasons, 14 Catholic Conference championships, 7 Super Bowl titles, and a career 206-63-1 record, Charlie Stevenson announced his resignation Thursday as football coach at Xaverian.
“I’m not a young man,” the 65-year-old Stevenson said. “I think that I have always been kind of a goal-driven coach. I had the last boxes checked off and I feel that it’s a good time to move aside and let someone else take over the program.”
