Report: Tom Brady won’t attend Republican National Convention
Though rumors have swirled about a possible Tom Brady appearance at the Republican National Convention, it appears that the Patriots quarterback won’t be in attendance after all.
According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Brady won’t fulfill the vague promises made by presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump. In June, Trump alluded to getting “great sports people” to speak at the RNC, which will take place in Cleveland July 18-21.
Despite speculation to contrary, Pats QB Tom Brady will not be attending Republican National Convention in Cleveland this month, per source.

“We’re going to do it a little different, if it’s okay.,” Trump said on June 10. “I’m thinking about getting some of the great sports people who like me a lot … Our country needs to see winners. We don’t see winners anymore. We have a bunch of clowns running this country. We have people who don’t know what the hell they’re doing running our country.”
Brady’s support for a Trump presidency has never been explicitly stated, though the Patriots quarterback has spoken about his personal friendship.
“Donald is a good friend of mine,” said Brady on WEEI’s Dennis & Callahan in December. “I have known him for a long time. I support all my friends. That is what I have to say.”
Brady isn’t the only high-profile sports name to be linked with Trump.
