Rob Gronkowski making his season debut against Texans
The 27-year-old tight end missed the first two games, both Patriots wins.
For the first time in the 2016 season, Rob Gronkowski will be on the active roster.
The dominant tight end has been sidelined for the opening two weeks of the season with a hamstring issue. Against the Texans on Thursday night, Gronkowski is finally ready to go. Patriots owner Robert Kraft gave an early tip regarding the news:
BREAKING: Robert Kraft tells @LisaWBZ if you think Gronk will play tonight “you’d be wise” #Patriots #TNF @cbsboston #WBZ at 5

In his place, Martellus Bennett has filled in admirably. With Gronkowski back, it should provide a boost for Patriots rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who is making his first career start against J.J. Watt and the stout Texans defense.
