The Boston Fleet officially have their new captain.
Boston’s Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) team announced on Saturday that defender Megan Keller has been named as team captain for the 2025-26 season, with forwards Jamie Lee Rattray and Alina Müller serving as alternate captains.
“This is a huge honor,” Keller said in a team release. “It’s so special to be a part of this team and especially this leadership group. It’s an important task at hand and I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity ahead.”
Battle-tested. Built for this moment.

Keller, 29, has been a key cog on Boston’s blue line since the team’s first season in 2023-24. The two-time alternate captain has not missed a game for the Fleet since the PWHL started.
A 2024 PHWL Defender of the Year finalist, Keller has posted nine goals and 32 points in 62 total games with the Fleet (postseason included). The Farmington, Mich., native played college hockey at Boston College — and won both a gold (2018) and silver medal (2022) for Team USA at the Winter Olympics.
Keller steps into a leadership role vacated by Hilary Knight, who signed with the Seattle Torrent in the offseason and was named as captain of the PWHL expansion franchise on Saturday.
This will mark the third-straight season where Rattray will don the “A” in Boston, with the 33-year-old forward scoring seven goals and 22 points over 60 total games with the Fleet.
Müller — the first international player drafted in the PWHL — is a first-time alternate captain for the Fleet. She has been a key playmaker for Boston over the past two years, scoring 14 goals and 38 points over 58 games.
“This group brings an excellent balance of leadership to our locker room,” Boston Fleet Head Coach Kris Sparre said. “Megan is a highly competitive individual. She sets the standard for work, compete and how we want to act not only at the rink but in our community.
“Alina brings a passion to the ice that shows her deep love for the game and her bond with Boston. She sets the standard for professionalism every day and is the kind of leader our players can model themselves after. Rattray is a veteran leader whose mentorship will be vital in our room. I have full confidence in their ability to guide the Fleet and set the competitive standard we expect every night.”
The Fleet will officially open their 2025-26 season on Nov. 23 when they host the Montreal Victoire at Tsongas Center.
