The PWHL announced the three finalists for the Billie Jean King MVP award on Thursday, which included Boston Fleet captain Hilary Knight.
She is accompanied by the Toronto Sceptres’ Renata Fast and Montréal Victoire’s Marie-Philip Poulin. This is the second time Poulin was named a finalist for the award as last year’s inaugural award was given to the Sceptres’ Natalie Spooner.
The award goes to the player who was considered the most valuable to their team during the regular season. The winner will be announced on June 25 during the draft.
They led. They delivered. They made a difference.

Knight had a successful season despite Boston missing the playoffs. She tied the league’s scoring lead with 29 points in 30 games and became one of two players to lead her team in goals and assists in a season at 15 and 14, respectively.
Knight was also the first player to record at least 15 goals and 10 assists in one season.
The captain had a five-game stretch where she collected 11 points from seven goals and four assists from March 5 to 26. The streak began with her hat trick over the New York Sirens. This was the first nine-game point streak for Boston.
