Defender Hadley Hartmetz was activated from the Long-Term Injured Reserve, or LTIR, to a 10-day contract by the Boston Fleet, according to the PWHL

The rookie will make her PWHL debut at Tuesday night’s game against the Montréal Victoire.

Hartmetz suffered a lower-body injury in March of 2024 during her last season with Ohio State. She was drafted by the Fleet on Nov. 15 to a one-year Standard Player Agreement and then was moved to the team’s Reserve Player list.

A Reserve Player list includes the players who are eligible to be activated to the roster, while LTIR is for players who are expected to be out for significant time, allowing the team to temporarily exceed their salary cap.

Hartmetz played at Boston College from 2019 to 2021 before transferring to Ohio State, where she graduated in 2024. She helped the Buckeyes win two national championships in 2022 and in 2024. She played on the U.S U18 Women’s National Team in 2018 and 2019, where she earned  gold and silver medals, respectively.
