On Tuesday afternoon, the PWHL Player Safety Committee issued a disciplinary action to the Boston Fleet’s Hannah Brandt.

The forward was fined $250 for a “dangerous cross check to the head of opponent Brooke Hobson” during the game against the New York Sirens on Sunday.

The action occurred at 1:43 in the first period and went unpenalized during the game.

This is Brandt’s first fine in the PWHL.

The University of Minnesota alum has been with the Fleet for both years of their existence. In the 19 games she has played this season, she notched a goal and seven assists.

Before the PWHL, she played in the Pro Women’s Hockey League Player Association from 2018 to 2022. She also represented the U.S. in the Winter Olympics in 2018 and 2022, earning a gold and silver medal, respectively.
