Aly Raisman shows support for Simone Biles after latest report of abuse
"I know we will all get through this together."
As Simone Biles became the latest gymnast to acknowledge that she was subjected to sexual abuse from former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, Aly Raisman made it clear that she stands in support of her friend.
Biles’s announcement arrived on Monday afternoon on Twitter. Within minutes, Raisman – who has also spoken about the abuse she received from the now-imprisoned Nassar – responded with support:
I am so proud of you. You are incredible Simone. I stand with you. I am shaking reading your post. I know we will all get through this together. https://t.co/Ziec5Fkhwv

Raisman and Biles were teammates at the 2016 Rio Olympics, with Biles taking gold in the individual all-around competition and Raisman winning silver.
Nassar will reportedly face a prison sentence on Friday for pleading guilty to molestation. Before that, he is expected to face dozens of his accusers in a four-day sentencing hearing. Nassar is already serving a 60-year prison term he received for child pornography crimes, and could see an additional 40 years added as a result of the current trial.
