Watch Aly Raisman’s local gym cheer her on during the gymnastics floor finals
Aly Raisman isn’t short on medals or support this Olympics.
Brestyan’s Gymnastics, Raisman’s Burlington gym, had a teammate viewing party Tuesday for her final Olympic event in Rio. Some of the teammates in attendance have been training with Raisman for up to 10 years, according to Jannelle Cioffi, president of the Brestyan Gymnastics Parent Association.

Cioffi said the girls, ranging from 10 to 17 years old, were very excited to watch Raisman perform.
“The girls had a great time and for them, a lot of them had practice today at the same time, so they were excited they got to be able to watch,” she said.
Stephanie Burger, 14, of Groton, said she was happy Raisman got silver in the event. Raisman’s teammate and best friend Simone Biles earned gold, her fourth in Rio.
“It was awesome I love watching her, but it was very nerve-wracking,” Burger said.
Next week, Raisman is expected to stop by her gym to do a signing, and Burger said she can’t wait.
“I will just give her a big hug, and say ‘Good job!’ and talk to her about her floor routine,” she said. “It was amazing.”
