Aly Raisman thanked her local gym for its Olympic support

"I can't wait to come home and show you guys my medals!"

Though Aly Raisman is living a whirlwind existence at the Rio Olympics as she celebrates what’s she’s already won while simultaneously preparing for her lone remaining competition, the 22-year-old Massachusetts native took time to thank her home gym.

In a handwritten sign that also carried the signatures of her “Final Five” teammates, Raisman personally thanked Brestyan’s American Gymnastic Club and all of the people involved who have been cheering her on in her second Olympics:

“Thanks for watching and supporting us,” Raisman wrote. “We are having so much fun here! I can’t wait to come home and show you guys my medals! See you girls in a few weeks!”

Raisman is in a small and prestigious club of U.S. gymnasts who have competed at multiple Olympics. And she’s on an ever smaller list of gymnasts who have won gold medals at consecutive games. So far, Raisman has won gold in the team competition, and a silver in the all-around. Fellow U.S. gymnast Simone Biles won gold in the all-around.

Raisman will compete in what could be her final Olympic event on Tuesday afternoon. She won gold in floor exercise at the 2012 London Olympics.
