Aly Raisman has been perfecting her floor exercise since she was 14
"Didn't happen over night."
Four years after her floor exercise clinched gold for Team USA, Aly Raisman once again put on a dazzling display that seemed to defy physical possibility.
The 22-year-old Massachusetts native was part of a record-setting women’s gymnastics team that stormed to the gold medal, winning by the largest margin in the history of the current scoring system.
And in the process, Raisman put on a sensational performance:
Consider us floored.@Aly_Raisman was rock solid on her routine. https://t.co/8UlQsUiW6F https://t.co/F1wDYWy24s

The defending gold medalist in floor exercise, Raisman has certainly maintained her London 2012 ability. And to some, her routine seemed to border on what was “physically possible.” After collecting her gold medal, Raisman took to Twitter to explain:
Years and years of conditioning & millions of repetition. Didn’t happen over night. Started training this pass at 14 https://t.co/plVlkt5dsY

Raisman still has other events to compete in, including the women’s all-around on Thursday, August 11 and the floor exercise on Tuesday, August 16.
