The Rio Olympics are set to get underway this week, and New England will have a strong presence representing Team USA.

While many are familiar with Aly Raisman, the gymnast who shined en route to gold at the 2012 London Olympics, there’s a decent chance you aren’t as familiar with some of the others. The following slideshow shows where New England’s athletes will be competing when the games  kick off. (note: This list isn’t comprehensive; there are plenty more Olympians from the region for you to get to know, and you can check some of them out here.)
