The Northeastern Huskies are the top dogs in Boston once again.
Senior forward Gunnarwolfe Fontaine scored with just 28.6 seconds left in overtime to lift the Huskies past No. 3 Boston University, 4-3, in the 71st men’s Beanpot championship on Monday night.
Fontaine’s blistering shot secured the Huskies’ ninth overall Beanpot title — and the fifth in the last six Beanpot tournaments.

The Huskies were considered underdogs entering Monday’s showdown with the Terriers, with Fontaine’s tally standing as Northeastern’s first (and only) lead of the evening. BU finished with a 36-17 edge in shots on goal.
