The Bruins are scheduled to begin a two-game set in buffalo on Thursday night.

The Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres will play their game tonight as scheduled, per a tweet from the Bruins’ team account.

Both the Bruins and Sabres canceled their customary morning skates on Thursday at Buffalo’s KeyBank Arena because an unidentified Bruins player and a member of the Sabres staff being placed in the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol.

But both teams issued statements about the game’s continuance based on the completion of COVID-19 contact tracing and testing, according to the Associated Press.

Faceoff for the first of the teams’ two-game set in Buffalo is still tentatively scheduled for 7:08 p.m, with the next game scheduled for a Saturday matinee at 1:08 pm.
