Before he traveled to New Orleans for the Super Bowl, Gardner native and Chiefs tight end Noah Gray visited a Kansas-based organization to spread some love.

Gray, who starred at Leominster High and is looking to capture his third Super Bowl with the Chiefs, volunteered at Inclusion Connections’ PawsAbilities in late January.

The non-profit supports adults with special needs, who work together to make pet products for valued customers. They create the dog toys and treats Gray gives to his Border Collie, so he took time out of his schedule to show his appreciation.

Gray said the people at PawsAbilities love one another, love what they do, and are excited to come to work. He said that’s “the beauty” of the organization.

“I just think it’s a really cool organization that really helps these young men and women be able to develop certain abilities to go out in the work force, to develop relationships with each other, to be able to learn new skills,” Gray said, in a video captured by the Kansas City Star. “It’s just really encouraging to me. There’s some great personalities and great people here that love each other.”

Gray praised the group for making their toys out of recycled fire hoses that firefighters donate.

“It’s just really incredible,” Gray said.
