Watch the moment Randy Moss found out he’s a Hall of Famer
"Tears of joy," Moss said afterward.
As soon as Pro Football Hall of Fame president David Baker knocked on the door, the people on the other side started to cheer.
Baker was there to alert Randy Moss that he’d been voted into the Hall of Fame — on his first try, no less.
“The door knocked, and I started getting excited,” Moss told the Associated Press. “All the emotions caught the best of me because it’s been a long journey and it ends in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Tears of joy.”
The class of eight inductees also includes Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, and Terrell Owens.
“It’s my privilege to welcome you to Canton, Ohio, which will be your new home for the rest of time,” Baker told Moss. “And, Randy, I want to thank you for all you’ve done for the game, for all you’re going to do for the game … I want to thank you so much because this is going to be the beginning of your journey, not the end of your football career.”
