Jimmy Garoppolo was mic’d up while leading 49ers’ game-winning drive
"You just have to stay cool, and go execute."
Even from afar, it’s been clear that Jimmy Garoppolo’s first three games as the San Francisco 49ers’ starting quarterback have been a success. Taking over a 1-10 team in disarray, Garoppolo has led three straight wins. His latest victory, a comeback against the Titans, allowed fans an inside vantage point because Garoppolo was mic’d up.
The 26-year-old quarterback displayed many habits of his old team, the Patriots, in the preparation and execution of a game-winning drive. Clearly, the years studying in the school of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick had a positive influence:

Garoppolo finished the game with a career-high 381 yards passing.
“Two minute drill comes down to execution at the end of the day,” Garoppolo said. “All the excitement’s going on. You just have to stay cool and go execute.”

While his contract expires at the end of the season, the 49ers are expected to make a significant push to keep him. The Patriots traded Garoppolo to the 49ers on Oct. 31.
