The Patriots missed playing in a Buffalo snow storm by a week, but Adam Vinatieri did not
Vinatieri has unique experience in these situations.
The Bills and Colts met in Buffalo on Sunday for one of the definitive “snow games” of the season. The two AFC opponents clashed in the midst of a “significant lake effect snow storm,” causing predictably abnormal conditions.

The football played by both teams was dramatically affected. The Colts didn’t even attempt a pass in the first quarter:

The Patriots, who played in a Buffalo a week ago, experienced relatively normal conditions in their 23-3 win. Now headed to Miami to play the Dolphins, Bill Belichick’s team will enjoy a warmer climate in an upcoming Monday night matchup.
One former Patriots player did not escape the snow in Buffalo. Adam Vinatieri, hero of multiple Patriots’ Super Bowls (and who was responsible for the most famous snow field goal in NFL history), was on hand to try and make an early kick for the Colts.
It didn’t go as well as his version with the Patriots:

However, his late game 43-yard extra point attempt was vintage Vinatieri:

Otherwise, the conditions created some fun moments for players:
