Before he launched a home run in Boston’s 4-3 win over the Texas Rangers Tuesday night, Red Sox slugger David Ortiz served coffee at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Salem, New Hampshire as part of promotions for Dunkin’s Iced Coffee Day Wednesday.

Ortiz traded in his Sox uniform for a brown apron and wore a name tag that identified him as “Big Papi,’’ as if there’s anyone in New England who wouldn’t recognize him.

Dunkin’ will donate $1 for each iced coffee sold in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire Wednesday, which will benefit Boston Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
