Patriots Go Full Jedi for Star Wars Day
It’s Star Wars Day, and some Boston sports figures are getting into the spirit of this most holy of geek holidays.
The Patriots tweeted this image from their official account, replacing the familiar “Flying Elvis’’ helmet logo with that of the fictional Coruscant Jedis. In the Star Wars film series, Coruscant is the seat of the Galactic Senate and home of the Jedi Temple.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman — who earlier posted a mock trailer of 2014-15 Patriots clips intercut with a preview of the upcoming Star Wars film — posted the above image of himself wielding a lightsaber to his Facebook page.
More than the Patriots, the struggling Boston Red Sox may need the fourth to be with them as they take the field against the Rays on Monday night.
