Tom Brady refuses to pick sides in Patriots-Buccaneers matchup

The Patriots (7-2) are traveling to Tampa this Sunday to take on the Buccaneers (6-2), in a battle between Tom Brady’s two former teams.

Both teams are leading their respective divisions, with the Patriots coming off of a 24-23 victory over the Falcons, while the Bucs had a bye last week.

The strong first half of the season for each side has them both in Brady’s NFL top 10 rankings, as New England move up to 6th and Tampa Bay go to 3rd.

As both teams look to continue their playoff push, Brady believes this game could be something special.

“We got two teams who might feel like they have something to prove,” Brady said in his post. “That usually results in a great football game.”

After spending 20 years and winning six Super Bowls with the Patriots, Brady moved to Tampa Bay for his last three seasons, where he tacked on one more ring.

However, because of this move he has a soft spot for both, as he won’t admit whether he is rooting for one or the other on Sunday.

“Just… don’t ask me to pick any sides here.”

While he will be broadcasting the Detroit Lions vs. Washington Commanders game instead of this one, he is sure to be keeping an eye on the score throughout the day.

The Patriots have featured in his rankings multiple times this season, but Brady had high praise for them this week as they slid up his rankings.

“The Pats have all the intangibles dialed in and look like a classic New England football team,” Brady continued. “We haven’t seen that in a few years.”

Even when they didn’t look their best this weekend, the Patriots were still able to pull out a win and keep their six-game win streak alive.

Brady even came up with a name for this new-look team.

“What are we calling it, ‘The Vrabel Way?'” he carried on. “Kinda catchy, isn’t it?”
