When asked to share his thoughts on Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, Tom Brady didn’t hesitate to praise a former coach and jokingly bash a former teammate.

Brady, speaking on FOX, said he believes Maye has experienced “great development” with the Patriots.

“Working with Josh McDaniels for as long as I did, he knows how to develop quarterbacks,” Brady said. “He’s so good with getting guys in the right play.”

Brady, who is used to dropping bombs with Rob Gronkowski flanked to his left, then took a playful shot at a defenseless receiver.

“Right now, Drake Maye is playing with the greatest tight end in the history of the New England Patriots, Hunter Henry,” Brady deadpanned. “This guy’s, like, electric.”

Gronkowski admitted that Brady got him and said: “I’ll just keep taking my shots over here.”

“Don’t give him a mic,” Brady said.
