With New England’s free-agent options at left tackle dwindling by the minute, the Patriots reportedly signed one of the top right tackles on the market Monday.

Per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Patriots have signed veteran tackle Morgan Moses to a three-year, $24 million contract worth up to $28.5 million.

Moses, 34, is a seasoned veteran with 11 years of experience in the NFL ranks. The 6-foot-6 tackle spent the 2024 season with the Jets as the team’s starting right tackle — appearing in 14 games.

Per Pro Football Focus, Moses allowed two sacks across the 723 offense snaps that he logged last year with New York.

As noted by Fox Sports’ Henry McKenna, Moses has played a majority of his career at right tackle — with the veteran only logging 12 snaps at left tackle over the last four seasons.

While New England still has to shore up their offensive line by adding a left tackle via free agency, trade, or the NFL Draft, Moses should add some stability to the right tackle position — especially in place of the incumbent Demontrey Jacobs, who surrendered nine sacks last season.

By locking in Moses at right tackle, New England should also be able to keep Mike Onwenu at his preferred position at right guard moving forward.

Even though Moses is more of a short-term solution given his age, his presence should also give second-year pro Caedan Wallace ample time to develop as the team’s backup RT.

Moses, a third-round pick in 2014, has primarily played most of his career in Washington (2014-20) before spending stints with the Jets (2021 and 2024) and the Ravens (2022-23).

New England has plenty of work to do when it comes to upgrading the rest of its offensive line — which surrendered 52 sacks during the 2024 season.

The projected top left tackle on the free-agent market in Ronnie Stanley re-signed with the Ravens on Saturday before the league’s legal tampering period began, while another LT in Dan Moore reportedly signed a four-year, $82 million contract with the Titans on Monday.
