Bill Belichick has eight Super Bowl titles on his resume as an NFL coach thanks to immense knowledge of the game, meticulous prep work, and ability to unravel seemingly any opposing team’s greatest strength.

But for all of his expertise in the film room and on the sideline, he’s not exactly a fan of technology, nor is he a social media maven.

“I don’t really know or care anything about social media,” Belichick said in September 2021. “I don’t even know what’s out there or isn’t out there, so that’s irrelevant to me. It doesn’t matter. We played football before there was social media, and it didn’t matter then, either.”

But after years of dismissing social media and sites like “SnapFace,” Belichick appears to be getting with the times in his new role as a football analyst and TV personality.

Shortly after Belichick announced the news, an official video was published on his official Instagram account.

“Hello, everyone. Surprised to see me here? I am too,” Belichick said in the video. “Over the past few months and not being with a team, I haven’t had the opportunities to express my thoughts at a moment’s notice.

“So now I’m changing that. I tried to join SnapFace. I couldn’t find it. I decided this was a good place for me to land, so I could talk to you and share what I’m up to. Because there’s a lot going on. So here I am.”

As of Wednesday afternoon, Belichick follows 12 accounts on his Instagram page: Tom Brady, Peyton and Eli Manning, Pat McAfee, Omaha Productions, his former assistant Berj Najarian, NFL Films, his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, The 33rd Team, and his own foundation.

Be it on TV sets, podcasts, video streams or now social media, Belichick will be a familiar face across several outlets during the 2024 NFL season.

Along with his new Instagram account, Belichick will:
