Robert Kraft couldn’t resist the chance to give Tom Brady one more ring
Brady received a Super Bowl-type ring to commemorate his 20 years with the franchise.
Tom Brady received a “special Super Bowl-type ring” from Robert Kraft the night before his Patriots Hall-of-Fame induction ceremony, ESPN’s Mike Reiss noted in a recent post.
WBZ captured the moment Brady received and aired it in a behind the scenes style video that also ran on Patriots.com.
Kraft brought out Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski to help present the ring.
“The top of the ring is designed to reflect 20 years that Tom was a Patriot, earning his induction into the Hall,” said Edelman.
“Tom and his teammates did some of their best work and were supported by the best fans in the NFL,” said Gronkowski.
Brady addressed a room full of former teammates while wearing the ring.
“Tonight for me is such an intimate place to share with you guys how much I love you guys,” Brady said. “We’ve had so many great memories together, all of us. You guys know me, I’m always emotional. Seeing you guys here makes everything so special. I hope this weekend is not for me, it’s for us. That’s what made this place the Patriots.”
Brady won six Super Bowl rings with the Patriots and another with Tampa Bay after he left. His total of seven is more than any NFL franchise.
Now Brady has another shiny one for the collection.
