As the Patriots begin a new era, first-year head coach Jerod Mayo officially learned who his team will face in Week 1 with the release of the NFL schedule on Wednesday night.
The 2024 Patriots schedule begins with a Week 1 trip on Sept. 8 to Cincinnati to face the Bengals at 1 p.m. The home opener is set for Sept. 15 against the Seahawks at 1 p.m.

Notable matchups include the Week 4 road game in San Francisco against the defending NFC Champion 49ers (kickoff at 4:05 p.m.), and a Week 6 test facing 2023 Offensive Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud and the Texans at Gillette Stadium on Oct. 13 (1 p.m.)
The Patriots’ first AFC East game falls on Sept. 19 in Week 3 against Aaron Rodgers and the Jets at MetLife stadium. The game will be on Thursday night at 8:15 p.m.
One Patriots game had already been revealed earlier on Wednesday. For the third time in team history (but the first since 2012), the Patriots will play in London. New England will return to its namesake for an Oct. 20 matchup against ex-Patriots quarterback Mac Jones and the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium, with kickoff set on the customarily early end for a European-based game (9:30 a.m.)
The Patriots enter the 2024 season charting a new course following the exit of Bill Belichick. The 4-13 record in 2023 left New England in full rebuilding mode. Jones, the 15th overall pick from 2021 (and formerly the Patriots’ starting quarterback), was dealt to Jacksonville to be Trevor Lawrence’s backup.
Having cleared the slate, Mayo and Patriots’ executive vice president Eliot Wolf opted to select quarterback Drake Maye with the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. As New England fans look at the 2024 schedule, they can only wonder when Maye might make his NFL debut.
