NFL expert believes Patriots are ‘committed’ to keeping No. 3 pick, taking QB

As the NFL Draft nears, and speculation intensifies, everyone seems to have an opinion about what the Patriots will do with the No. 3 pick.

One expert, Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network, seems confident that they’ve made up their minds.

“New England, to me, feels stuck,” Jeremiah told Zach Gelb of CBS Sports Radio. “Like, they are taking one. Everything that I’ve heard seems to be they are committed to staying at 3.”

Jeremiah said the Patriots wanted an $8 to $10 million quarterback, which they got in Jacoby Brissett.

“Then they’re going to take the guy of the future there at 3,” Jeremiah said.

It appears more likely than not that USC’s Caleb Williams will go No. 1 overall, so that would likely leave UNC’s Drake Maye or LSU’s Jayden Daniels as the guy.

Jeremiah said the Washington Commanders are more likely than New England to listen to a trade offer from the Minnesota Vikings.

The NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 25, at 8 p.m.
