Gostkowski, who was drafted by the team in the fourth round in 2006, has made seven of eight field goals this season, but has struggled on extra points – 11 of 15. He took responsibility for missing his fourth extra point of the season in Sunday’s game against the Bills, saying, “I’m just not very consistent right now.”
The team has not yet confirmed that Gostkowski will need hip surgery.
