Antonio Brown will reportedly not be placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List
Brown will be eligible to play against the Dolphins this Sunday.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday that Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown will not be placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List for his sexual assault allegations, making him eligible to take the field Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
At this point, NFL will not place Antonio Brown on commissioner exempt list, as there is no criminal investigation, making him eligible to play Sunday vs. Miami, per sources. NFL has opened its investigation, which will include interviews with Antonio Brown and his accuser.

While Brown won’t be placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, the NFL is still opening an investigation into the sexual assault claims made against Brown, Schefter reported.
Brown was accused of sexual assault by a former classmate and gymnast from Central Michigan University that he had hired to be his trainer in 2017. The alleged incidents took place in both 2017 and 2018.
The Patriots acquired Brown on a one-year deal after the Oakland Raiders cut him Sept. 7 following a series of incidents between the wide receiver and Raiders general manager Mike Mayock.
Brown will be available to play his first game of the 2019 NFL season in Miami, but it remains unclear how involved he’ll be in the Patriots’ game plan, if at all.
