The Celtics won on a late winner from Gordon Hayward on Wednesday night, defeating the Kings 111-109. Boston now heads to Los Angeles for a Saturday matchup with the Lakers at 8:30 p.m.

The Bruins are home tonight against the Panthers (puck drops at 7 p.m.)

Tom Brady trolled Julian Edelman, extended an Odell invite: Tom Brady uses his Instagram to promote various products from time to time. One of his sponsorship deals is with car manufacturer Aston Martin. Brady posted about the car company on Wednesday.

The sports car drew comments from various celebrities, including David Beckham. Brady responded to two comments in particular. One was from Julian Edelman, and the other from Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Brady trolled his teammate, who was asking when he would get a car of his own.

“Guy wins one Super Bowl MVP,” Brady joked. Responding to Beckham, who agreed with Edelman that he was still waiting for his, Brady offered an invite to New England.

“Come to Foxboro for a test drive,” said Brady.

Trivia: Mookie Betts won the 2018 American League batting title with a .346 average. If he repeats the feat in 2019, Betts will join four other Red Sox to have won consecutive batting titles. Who were they? Hint: Three are Hall of Famers while the most recent one is not.

What Steven Wright had to say about his suspension

: Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright received an 80-game ban for testing positive for a performance enhancing drug. Specifically, Wright was found to have Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2 in his system.

Wright was at a loss as to how the banned substance got into his body.

“I know for a fact it was not from the doctors. Somehow it got in there,” Wright told Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe. “It was such low levels that it could have come from anywhere…Not one time in my mind did I ever think this would be possible because I feel like I’m pretty careful. But I guess I’m not careful enough.”

On this day: In 1994, a 19-year-old Red Sox first round draft pick named Trot Nixon was invited to spring training to play in a six-inning scrimmage with the Twins. Nixon, fresh out of high school and still sporting a mullet, went 1-3 with four outfield catches.

Nixon would go on to become the team’s starting right fielder, averaging 20 home runs a season over a 12-year career.
