Morning sports update: Amy Klobuchar told a ‘dirty’ Robert Kraft joke at the Gridiron dinner
"A woman can tell a dirty joke."
The Celtics were beaten at TD Garden on Sunday by the Rockets, 115-104. Houston guard James Harden dropped a game-high 42 points. The Celtics now head west to play the Warriors on Tuesday night at 10:30 p.m.
The Bruins are home on Tuesday at 7 p.m. against the Hurricanes.
Amy Klobuchar told a ‘dirty’ Robert Kraft joke: Speaking at the annual Gridiron Club and Foundation dinner in Washington D.C. on Saturday night, Minnesota senator Amy Klobuchar, who has already announced her candidacy to be the Democratic nominee for president in 2020, included Robert Kraft in remarks designed to be humorous.
Klobuchar promised the audience that the duration of her speech would be “shorter than a Robert Kraft visit to the Orchids day spa.”
“A woman can tell a dirty joke,” Klobuchar added.
Kraft is currently charged with two counts of soliciting a prostitute at a Jupiter, Florida day spa. The Patriots owner has entered a plea of not guilty to the charges.

How the Red Sox bullpen might look
: With the overwhelming likelihood that former closer Craig Kimbrel will not return to the team (he’s still a free agent), Red Sox manager Alex Cora might have to use a more flexible approach. [The Boston Globe]
David Ortiz believes the Red Sox are already locked in: Discussing the state of the Red Sox during a spring training visit, retired slugger David Ortiz sees a team that’s focused.
“They talk about nothing but hitting,” Ortiz told reporters. “I remember before while you were stretching, you’d mess around, talk trash. These guys are locked in. I was standing up right there just listening to the conversations for about half an hour. Didn’t say anything. They were talking about mechanics, hands, how to approach and this and that. What that tells you is that these guys, they’re not trying to miss a beat. They’re not trying to waste their time. They’re in the first week of spring training and you look at what the conversation is, you know what I’m saying?”
Rob Gronkowski and Eric Decker dominated at the Spikeball while on vacation. Could the the Patriots’ tight end have a future in a second sport?

Bill Belichick made his annual stop-in while NFL Network’s Rich Eisen was on the air at the combine to make a charitable donation.
Great thanks to @patriots HC Bill Belichick for crashing our #Combine set for a second straight year to, once again, lead by example and drop off an extremely generous check for @StJude on behalf of #RunRichRun

On this day: In 1993, former N.C. State basketball coach Jim Valvano spoke at the first ever ESPN ESPY awards, where he was the first recipient of the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. Valvano, who had been diagnosed with cancer and would die a month after the speech, announced the launch of The V Foundation for Cancer Research. He closed with a memorable and emotional message.
“Cancer can take away all of my physical abilities,” said Valvano. “It cannot touch my mind, it cannot touch my heart, and it cannot touch my soul. And those three things are going to carry on forever. I thank you and God bless you all.”
Daily highlight: Though the shot didn’t count, this is something from Blake Griffin.
