Tom Brady Sr.: ‘All you want to ever do is see your kids realize their dreams’
Tom Brady's father watched his son make a dream come true — for the sixth time.
In the week before the Super Bowl, Tom Brady Sr. offered some advice to Nickell Robey-Coleman after the Los Angeles Rams cornerback hinted age was catching up with Tom Brady Jr.
“Sometimes it’s better to shut your mouth,” Brady Sr. said. “Because it’s not in anybody’s best interest to give any of the Patriots bulletin-board material.”
Tom Brady Jr. completed 21 passes for 262 yards against Robey-Coleman and Co. After the Patriots’ 13-3 win over the Rams, his father expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to watch his son make a dream come true — for the sixth time.
“All you want to ever do is see your kids realize their dreams,” Brady Sr. said. “To see this one, our son, realize his dream in the sport that he loves more than anything in his life — except maybe his family — we just kind of shake our heads and say, ‘Thank you God. Thank you God.’”

Father and son embraced amid the confetti on the Mercedes-Benz Stadium turf. Brady Jr. has told reporters on multiple occasions that he is set on continuing his New England career, and Brady Sr. didn’t cast any doubt on that commitment.
“You know, he said there’s zero chance that he will retire, so I have to expect that he’ll be back,” he said.
