Tom Brady turned to poetry in his latest motivational Instagram post

He shared a poem from Douglas Malloch called "Good Timber."

It didn’t have quite as much action as some of his other recent messages, but Tom Brady’s latest Instagram post followed a similar pattern in that it focused on inspiration and overcoming odds.

The post, which the quarterback shared late Thursday night, featured a photo with Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski. Below the picture, he included Douglas Malloch’s poem “Good Timber” in its entirety.

It’s not the first time he’s chosen this poem, which revolves around the notion that working for something and battling through adversity often yields the most fruitful results.

Then at the end, Brady added his own personal touch, by writing “#3days.” The post, unsurprisingly, elicited thousands of comments.

Brady’s confidante Ben Rawitz commented #lfg, with three fire emojis. Gronkowski’s brother, Chris, wrote: “Damn right, fight through adversity, never get complacent and always be the the hardest worker in the room. #goatlife (three fire emojis yet again). Sports business analyst Darren Rovell said: “Gronk’s last game. Book it. Wins MVP.”
