Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon is rooting for the Patriots in the Super Bowl
“Yeah, I don’t want the Rams to win."
Even though the Patriots ended his team’s season, Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon is still rooting for them to beat the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII.
“Yeah, I don’t want the Rams to win,” Gordon told SiriusXM NFL Radio at the Pro Bowl on Sunday. “I don’t have to – I live in L.A. Y’all know. I live in L.A., and I’ve got to hear that all day. You know how many signs – Rams signs – I see?”

Gordon clarified that he has a strong relationship with Rams running back Todd Gurley and that he “loves the guys over there,” but that doesn’t change his outlook on the game.
When L.A. pride and bragging rights are on the line, it’s clear those factors supersede past results in Gordon’s mind.
“Man, I need them boys to lose,” he said.
