With 830 combined career touchdown passes, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are in an elite class of quarterbacks. On Sunday night, football fans will be treated to a rare clash of the two legends.

Brady, nicknamed the “GOAT” (“greatest of all time”), is 0-1 in career match-ups with Rodgers as starters. Their only full meeting occurred in the 2014 season, when the Patriots lost to the Packers 26-21 in Green Bay.

In 2018, the Patriots have been the superior team so far. New England is currently perched in a familiar spot in the AFC East, leading the division at 6-2. Green Bay is third in the NFC North at 3-3-1, having finished a Sept. 16 game against the Vikings in a rare NFL tie (29-29).

Both quarterbacks have had to deal with absences and injuries to important skill players this season.

Brady had to run his offense without Julian Edelman for the first four games due to his suspension, as well as overcome a series of injuries to New England’s running backs. Rob Gronkowski has also been dealing with ongoing injury problems.

Rodgers has battled through his top three receivers all being out with injuries. And the Green Bay quarterback was himself feared to have suffered a major injury during a September game against the Bears, but returned to lead the Packers in a comeback win.
