Tom Brady recasts ‘Top Gun’ starring Gisele and the Patriots
"Who is Goose?"
Tom Brady pushed back his customary 8:30 p.m. bedtime on Friday to watch the 1986 film “Top Gun.” He then went a step further, deciding that he would recast the movie, announcing his picks on his Instagram story.
As one would expect of a veteran QB, Brady selected himself for the role of the protagonist, Tom Cruise’s character, “Maverick.” But who would play Maverick’s sidekick, “Goose,” was an unanswered quandary. Perhaps Brady didn’t want to pick favorites.
Several members of the Patriots’ offense were given roles, along with Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels. And it was no surprise that Brady named Gisele Bündchen in Kelly McGillis’ role of Charlotte Blackwood.
This is how Brady would recast “Top Gun“:
Pete “Maverick” Mitchell: Tom Brady
Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood: Gisele Bündchen
Tom “Iceman” Kazansky: Julian Edelman
Mike “Viper” Metcalf: Bill Belichick
Rick “Hollywood” Neven: Rob Gronkowski
Rick “Jester” Heatherly: Josh McDaniels
Leonard “Wolfman” Wolfe: Brian Hoyer
Marcus “Sundown” Williams: Sony Michel
