Chiefs radio producer says Patriots fans stole equipment: ‘Worst fans in the league’
"I would never do a broadcast with the windows open in that stadium from fear. It has nothing to do with weather."
The executive producer of the Kansas City Chiefs’ radio network accused Patriots fans of stealing equipment after the Patriots’ 43-40 win on Sunday night.
“Seriously, they have become the worst fans in the league,” wrote Chiefs radio producer Dan Israel after the game on Twitter.

Israel followed by acknowledging he didn’t mean to group all Patriots fans together, but added that the issues have been consistent during games in New England.
“We’ve had some type of conflict each visit since they built Gillette [Stadium],” said Israel. “It’s not our fault the Patriots put us close to the fans. We’re there doing a job. And it’s getting worse with each visit. Just sayin’.”
“I think it’s also [relevant] to point out, that bad behavior among a few (and we’re talking more than 1% here) still has to be allowed by those around them,” Israel continued. “You are a collective group. Purge those that do not meet your standards. Or accept the standards of those whom you keep.”
And according to Israel, additional security is required.
“They do need to put some security there,” he said. “It is just a matter of time till something happens. I would never do a broadcast with the windows open in that stadium from fear. It has nothing to do with weather. It’s just safer. They used to throw things at [retired quarterback and former broadcaster] Lenny Dawson.”
The accusation from Israel comes after a game in which several Patriots fans also threw beer at Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill following a touchdown. Former Chiefs running back Larry Johnson said Hill “should press charges for assault.”
