Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles isn’t the only NFL player to have a connection to NBC’s “The Good Place.”
During Thursday’s episode of the comedy series, now in its third season, one of the main characters, Tahani, portrayed by British actress Jameela Jamil, casually implied that she used to date none other than five-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.
When another character, Jason, who is a diehard Jaguars superfan hailing from Jacksonville, complained of tiredness because he has to watch Jaguars games “alone on [his] computer at like three in the morning on Mondays” — the show’s current setting is Australia — Tahani offered to watch the games with him, before revealing a juicy little detail about her dating history.
“I’ll watch the game with you, Jason,” she said. “I enjoy American football. I actually dated a player once. But he wasn’t my type, so I set him up with my friend, Gisele.”
Though she didn’t mention Brady by name, Tahani clarified her friend was, in fact, supermodel, Gisele Bündchen, who celebrated her ninth wedding anniversary with the Patriots quarterback in February.
