3 historic Tom Brady stats from the Patriots’ win over the Colts
Brady tied Adam Vinatieri in a significant all-time record.
While Josh Gordon’s first touchdown catch in a Patriots uniform rightfully drew plaudits, it was also a historic moment for Tom Brady in more than one way.
The fourth quarter touchdown was Brady’s 500th of his career.

The only other NFL quarterbacks to reach that milestone were Peyton Manning (the NFL’s all-time leader with 539) and Brett Favre (508).
On top of that, Gordon became the 71st different receiver to catch a touchdown pass from Brady. This passed Vinny Testaverde’s previous record of 70. Given that Testaverde played for seven different NFL teams in his career (through age 44), Brady’s achievement – forged with only one career team to this point – is all the more impressive.
Brady also tied the all-time win record by a single player, matching a former teammate who stood on the opposing sideline during Thursday’s game.
Adam Vinatieri, who remained at 226 career wins as a player, saw Brady match his total. Brady, in the NFL since 2000, has outpaced Vinatieri – in the NFL since 1996 – after the kicker left New England in free agency in 2006.
