The New England Patriots’ 38-7 win over the previously undefeated Miami Dolphins on Sunday was much bigger than just a statement win.

The Patriots’ second win of the 2018 season was the 300th win for the franchise, making owner Robert Kraft the fastest owner to 300 victories in NFL history. The 77-year-old reached the milestone in just 432 games over the course of 25 seasons.

The victory over the Dolphins was followed by a celebration in the locker room and featured a lot of congratulatory hand shakes and bro-hugs.

“We won the whole week, it wasn’t just today,” head coach Bill Belichick said. “And today was a special day for us, for Robert [Kraft].”

The team chanted for Kraft to deliver a speech as Belichick handed over the game ball and offered up a handshake.

“Our family is just a vehicle and a custodian of this great asset,” Kraft said. “It’s the players and coaches that did it… You’re the reason it happened, and I hope we’re all together for 400.”

400 wins is a long ways away, but with these Patriots, anything is possible.
