Gordon wore No. 12 while with the Cleveland Browns, and while some players have been known to make a deal to get their uniform number back, it’s a safe bet that Gordon did not approach Tom Brady hoping to pry No. 12 away.
Gordon was acquired by New England from the Cleveland Browns on Monday, although Patriots coach Bill Belichick again insisted Wednesday that the deal is not finalized.
