Here’s where Jimmy Garoppolo’s jersey ranks in sales compared to Tom Brady’s
The former teammates now rank among the league's top-selling jerseys.
A year ago, Jimmy Garoppolo was a backup quarterback on the Patriots roster. And while highly thought of, he was nonetheless behind Tom Brady on the depth chart.
Now in 2018, Garoppolo’s star has risen dramatically. Following his move to the 49ers at the trade deadline last October, the 26-year-old quarterback has become the face of San Francisco’s franchise.
Further proof of Garoppolo’s burgeoning popularity was found in a recent ranking of jersey sales from Fanatic. It found the two former Patriots teammates in the top five, though possibly not in the expected order:

Giants rookie Saquon Barkley holds the top ranking. Garoppolo has taken over Brady’s 2017 spot.
