Morning sports update: Brandon Bolden is signing with the Miami Dolphins
New England released Bolden ahead of the roster deadline.

The Miami Dolphins have signed the Patriots’ former running back Brandon Bolden, according to the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero. Bolden was released by New England on Saturday, the team’s roster deadline, and signed with Miami as of Tuesday morning. The Dolphins continue to churn their roster and there are expected to be subsequent roster cuts following Bolden’s signing.

Tiger’s doppelgänger made an appearance at the Dell Technologies Championship tournament
Donning the typical Tiger Woods uniform of a red polo shirt, black pants, a cap and sunglasses, the Woods lookalike– who has yet to be identified– had a lot more to smile about at TPC than the real Tiger, who finished the tournament tied for 24th place.

What Bill O’Brien had to say about facing the Patriots this week
With less than one week remaining until the 2018 season opener, Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien spoke to the media Monday regarding his team’s fourth trip to Foxboro in three seasons.
“I think every year is different, I really do,” O’Brien said. “I think the two teams know each other very well, but I don’t get into that type of feeling about it. “Tom vs. Time” isn’t over yet
Though we won’t be getting a second season of the quarterback’s docu-series, fans will be treated to a five-minute episode as a prelude to the 2018 season opener.

Federer struggles and falls victim to stifling conditions
Of Roger Federer’s 14 appearances in the U.S. Open, he had only lost before the quarterfinals once prior to Monday night’s match against Australian John Millman, ranked 55th. The 37-year-old looked slow and tired during the match that ended around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning in Arthur Ashe Stadium.
“I don’t know, for some reason, I just struggled in the conditions tonight. It’s one of the first times it’s happened to me,” Federer said. “It’s uncomfortable. Clearly just keep on sweating more and more and more and more as the match goes on. You lose energy as it goes by. But John was able to deal with it better.” (Boston.com)
