How fantasy football experts are ranking Patriots running backs

Expert advice on New England's backfield.

Bill Belichick’s management of the Patriots’ backfield has caused fantasy football players stressful moments in past seasons. New England’s proclivity for committee at the running back position has often diluted fantasy value.

In 2018, it appears on the surface that this could continue. Dion Lewis left for greener pastures in free agency, but all of the other running backs of a year ago have remained. Added to the mix is veteran Jeremy Hill and two rookies, Sony Michel and Ralph Webb.

Discerning which Patriots running back will garner the most fantasy points this year can be a difficult task without proper study. In that regard, a collection of expert fantasy rankings have been assembled. From it, smaller rankings of Patriots running backs has been listed below.

The rankings are split into “PPR” and “Non-PPR” categories. PPR is a popular fantasy format that stands for “point per reception,” meaning running backs (and all receivers) are given one point for every reception.

Also, a player’s overall ranking in comparison to other running backs is listed in parenthesis next to his name.
