FOXBOROUGH — Jay-Z’s “Public Service Announcement,’’ Tom Brady’s typical walkout song, blared from the speakers at the start of Patriots training camp on Friday

But track had a little competition from the crowd, which delivered a rendition of “Happy Birthday,’’ also for Brady, who turns 41 Friday.

To celebrate, the Patriots had a giant cake in the shape of the No. 12 (though there was no avocado ice cream as accompaniment), giant cards for fans to sign, and a larger-than-life balloon creation in Brady’s likeness.

Fans also brought their own signs and got plenty creative.

Also included in the practice soundtrack so far, “Hall of Fame’’ by The Script and “Once in a Lifetime’’ by Talking Heads.

As Brady walked through the tunnel out to practice, he passed a stadium employee he clearly has an inside joke with because the two shouted “Woof! Woof! Woof!’’ at each other and then fist bumped before the stadium employee wished Brady a happy birthday.
