Malcolm Butler showed he has ‘extra gas in the tank’ with training camp highlight
"Most definitely."
Malcolm Butler is gone from New England, but he clearly hasn’t forgotten his time with the Patriots, nor the manner in which it ended.
The 28-year-old cornerback signed with the Tennessee Titans in free agency (a team now coached by former Patriot Mike Vrabel). Following the controversial – and still mysterious – benching in Super Bowl LII, Butler told reporters at Titans training camp that he’s entering the new season with extra motivation.
“Most definitely,” Butler said to Titans reporter Terry McCormick about his increased incentive to succeed. “I’m very fueled, and I’ve always been this way, but I’ve a little extra gas in the tank.”
On the first day of training camp, Butler showed off his “extra gas in the tank” with a quality interception.

Butler signed a deal with Tennessee worth $61 million over five years (more than $30 million of which is reportedly guaranteed).
