The Patriots acquired cornerback Jason McCourty — the twin brother of New England safety Devin McCourty — in a trade with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday.

The Patriots gave up a sixth-round draft pick to obtain McCourty, and also received a seventh-round pick.

Jason McCourty spent eight seasons with the Tennessee Titans after they drafted him in the sixth round in 2009 out of Rutgers.

The Patriots took Devin McCourty, who also played college football at Rutgers, with the 27th pick in the 2010 draft.
