Malcolm Butler is reportedly signing with the Titans
It looks like there’s going to be a Patriots reunion in Tennessee.
The Titans are signing cornerback Malcolm Butler to a five-year contract worth more than $61 million, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday evening.

Butler will join former Patriots cornerback Logan Ryan, who signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Titans in March 2017. Like Butler, Ryan played his first four seasons in New England before moving to Tennessee.

The Titans coaching staff also has a couple of Pats connections. Newly hired head coach Mike Vrabel played linebacker for eight seasons under Bill Belichick, while general manager Jon Robinson got his start in the NFL as a member of the Patriots’ scouting staff.

Former Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia was also rumored to be interested in signing Butler. The 24-year-old cornerback was expected to leave New England this offseason, with hopes of securing a better paycheck.
Following the controversial situation surrounding Super Bowl LII, Butler posted a statement on social media that thanked Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Belichick, and his teammates for a successful tenure in New England.
